Nashville is one of the busiest bachelorette destinations in the country, and spray tans have quietly become a standard part of the weekend. They’re also the thing most likely to eat a chunk of a trip nobody planned for.
Here’s how to schedule it so it doesn’t.
The logistics problem
Getting six or ten people to a studio and back is genuinely awkward. You’re coordinating rides, you’re spread across an appointment book, and somebody always ends up waiting around. On a two-night trip that’s a real bite out of the schedule.
Mobile solves it. One artist arrives at your rental, sets up once, and works through the group while everyone else carries on getting ready.
Where the rental is matters. Green Hills, Belle Meade, 12 South, Berry Hill and Bellevue are inside the 10-mile mobile radius. Downtown Nashville sits 11.6 miles from the Brentwood anchor point, just past the line, and The Gulch, Sylvan Park and East Nashville are similar. Those are taken by request rather than promised, but for a group it is rarely a problem: text the address, the dates and the headcount and you’ll get a straight answer.
What it costs
Mobile group pricing for the full Sunless Method Experience, per person: 1 person $85 · 2 people $70 · 3–4 people $65 · 5+ people $55. There’s no minimum headcount; the price simply drops as the group grows. Allow about 30 minutes per person.
Get the timing right
Book for the day before your big night, not the morning of.
Color keeps developing after the first rinse. If you spray Saturday morning for Saturday night, you’re both rushing the development and risking transfer onto whatever you’re wearing.
Day-before works because the rinse happens that evening or overnight, and the color is settled and peaked by the time you’re going out.
Prep is on your group
This is the part that decides whether the tans look good, and it’s the part the artist can’t do for you. Everyone needs to arrive ready:
- Exfoliate the day before, with a non-oil-based product
- Shave 12 to 24 hours ahead, or wax 24 to 48 hours ahead
- Finish your shower at least three hours before, and apply nothing after it: no lotion, oil, deodorant or perfume
- Pack loose, dark clothes and open-toe shoes for afterwards
Deodorant is the one that catches people out. The aluminum in most antiperspirants can react and turn underarms green. Bring it and put it on after you rinse.

What the rental needs
Not much. A bathroom or a corner with a bit of space, and somewhere for people to change. Most short-term rentals and hotel rooms are fine.
Worth thinking about: give the tans their own window in the schedule rather than trying to squeeze them between brunch and something else. Rushed groups are how people end up rinsing too early.
A group booking isn’t a group formula

A bachelorette party is rarely six people with the same skin. Spraying one standard formula across a whole group is exactly how you end up with photos where half the party glows and half looks like they’ve been dipped in the same bucket, because they have been.
Each person should be matched to her own tone, undertone and depth. That’s the difference in the photographs, which is ultimately what the weekend gets remembered by.
The bride is a separate conversation
If the bride is getting married soon after, her tan runs on a different timeline from the party’s: usually a trial first, then the real one timed to the wedding rather than the weekend.
